Juicy Jejunum in Jar

Today's topic was the letter J, I went with the obvious: a juicy jejunum in a jar.

(the jejunum is part of the small intestine)

candy!

November 8th - Kitchen appliances.  I'm not sure that a candy dispenser technically counts as an appliance, but I would still like to have one in my kitchen.

Cleaned this one up and then put it up - In the shop

wine, grapes, and cheese, yum!

November 3rd - wine.  I had a lot of fun with this one, I tried to use Photoshop like I was painting traditionally with oils.  So no paths and no fuzzy erasers.

unfinished

Sometimes I don't finish things.  Sometimes I take on too much, coming up with an idea that would take days too render when I have hours.  So I simply never start, knowing I will never finish.  As proof, here is the lovely file I saved over the weekend, titled "unfinished business.psd".  I didn't finish (or technically start) this one, but I wanted to.  All those scratch marks don't look like much, but are plans for a couple different drawings:

Here are a few more unfinished pieces from the past year.  Some things that I ran out of time for, some I lost interest in, and some were just sketches never meant to be finished:

I am finishing that squirrel though.

These sketches were compiled for the topic "Unfinished Business" as part of the The Creative Collective's synchroblogging project.

what if people had pasta for hair

One of my favorite illustrations from college was this one, called "What if People had Pasta for Hair."  It was done originally for my first digital illustration class in Illustrator.  I always loved the concept, but due to time and my skill level at the time, it never really felt done.  So I'm glad now to have the excuse to go back to it and add some more rendering and depth.

steampunk hedgehog

September 13th Today's prompt was to take a weapon and draw a steampunk version of it. I drew a hedgehog because hedgehogs make excellent weapons. Right? Right.

Update:

Making some refinements to the sketch from this week.  Still in progress...

love is a battlefield

September 10th - Ultimate Showdown  Today's sketch assignment was to draw a showdown/battle.  I'm not much for action battle scenes, so I drew this porcupine and cactus sizing each other up.

But I think they look like they could be in love.  Either way I think the porcupine is a little confused.
